Travel continues to trouble Hull, admits boss Marco Silva after Stoke defeat

Hull boss Marco Silva is still going to have to rely on his unbelievable record - his teams have not lost at home in more than three years - to stay in the top flight.

His left-footed drive soared into the top corner to virtually assure Stoke's Premier League status for another season.

The Potters came into this contest on the back of four consecutive defeats but they were handed the flawless start when Marko Arnautovic made the break through after only six minutes and the hosts continued to dominate the opening stages of the game.

Silva was not happy with the way Hull started the game.

Harry Maguire has drawn Hull City level against Stoke City.

Jonathan Walters and Peter Crouch were then brought on by Mark Hughes and they made an immediate impact, as Walters forced Eldin Jakupovic into an excellent save with a low diving header at the back post.

The former Bayern Munich attacking midfielder made it 3-1 using a rasping, swerving attempt from 30 yards to send Stoke 11 points clear of the relegation zone. I went to the Hull v Swansea game thinking Swansea, who had just had a fantastic win over Burnley, just needed to come up to Hull and not lose and they would have been safe.

Turkish PM Yildirim says unofficial votes show win for 'Yes' camp
After two identity checks, they were handed the ballot paper. "There will be stability and trust in the new Turkey", he added. The ballots themselves did not include the referendum question - it was assumed to be understood.

Arnautovic was similarly wasteful ten minutes before the break, his dragged shot wide wasting a fine pass from Glen Johnson.

But the equaliser Hull deserved arrived just six minutes after the restart.

Stoke were doing all of the early pressing and had the ball in the net through Saido Berahino in the 14th minute, but a correct offside decision cut short his celebrations. Miscommunication between Pieters and Grant nearly costs Stoke dear as the loose balls falls kindly for Niasse but the on-loan Everton forward spurns the opportunity, shooting wide of the gaping goal.

Grant performed heroics to thwart Grosicki after the Pole turned Ryan Shawcross before Walters hit the inside of the post, but it was Shaqiri who had a sensational final say 10 minutes from time. Win and they could end the day in the top half, lose and the visitors are just three points behind. "You know the Premier League, it's the Premier League and you never know what's going to happen".

Hernandez has scored only five goals this season with surgery to resolve a hernia problem at the end of previous year and a torn a hamstring in February restricting him to 26 appearances.

Three goals conceded could have been much more as Marco Silva's defence was left with questions to answer once again.
