Mourinho: Martial has to start doing what I like

The United manager has openly criticised some of his players including Martial and, in particular, Luke Shaw, with Mourinho questioning their fitness and commitment.

Martial, the second most expensive signing in United's history after moving from Monaco for £58 million in September 2015, was the club's leading scorer last season with 17 goals.

The latest kicks in when he scores his 25th goal for the club, a mark of which he is now one short.

"We are together for nearly 10 months or something like that", Mourinho was quoted as saying by the Manchester Evening News when quizzed regarding Martial's progress during a press conference held in advance of that second-leg decider against Anderlecht.

"I go in the direction of the players, they have to also come in my direction", said the Portuguese. However, the forward hasn't started a play for Manchester United since the 1-1 draw against Bournemouth, which occurred at the beginning of March.

Patriots sign Super Bowl hero Butler, may trade him
But New England coach Bill Belichick has balked at giving him the lucrative, long-term security he has been seeking. He had the game-clinching interception that allowed the Patriots to win the 2015 Super Bowl against Seattle.

They still have a crucial away goal on their side and they will go into the tie at Old Trafford as favourites.

"Do I think he can play successfully for me? Yes. I think for Zlatan it would be fantastic to play the final in his country, it would be ideal, it would be attractive - no more than that". "We need everyone that can [play] and Wayne can, so hopefully he can give us help".

Rooney missed that match with an ankle injury and hasn't played for United since their 0-0 English Premier League draw with West Brom, at the start of the month. He is the priority for the Europa League, but we have situations for David De Gea to play.

"The same way I know what the players like, I think the players also know what I like. That goal gives us extra motivation".

"The only player that I am aware of a possibility to leave, and I am waiting for January 31 to know what is going on, is Ashley Young, a player I would love to keep", The Portugese stated on January 29th. I think it is just that. We don't have many players: we lost players in the January market, we didn't bring anyone in, we lost players in the worldwide week.
