Microsoft has seemingly renewed its Scalebound trademark

Having been in development for nearly four years, the action role-player's cancellation came as somewhat of a surprise-however it would now appear Microsoft has renewed its Scalebound trademark. Of course, Microsoft did renew the trademark- that factually did happen. Sources close to the project reportedly told Eurogamer: "With continuing issues surrounding the game's engine and overdue deadlines, the decision was made that the project could no longer continue". It was a blow to fans of the game and the Xbox One, as the game was one of the most-anticipated for the console, and had been in development for four years.

If the report is true, Microsoft intends to rebuild the game from the ground up. "The IP is alive".

However, now we could be back again to have some good news, as there could have leaked the return of the development of Scalebound, if we stick to the renewal of the rights of the IP of the game, as you can see on the website of Justia.

The officials missed that one, as well as a two-hander to the back of the legs of Nashville defenseman P.K. Predators LW Harry Zolnierczyk, a healthy scratch for the previous games, returned to the lineup.

Microsoft really needs some more wins with Sony so far ahead (especially with their killer early 2017 lineup, my God, even I barely have time to play them all), so this could be big news if they re-unveil it for the Scorpio at E3. Those wondering about the game not being developed by Platinum Games, well the IP is owned by Microsoft, so it can have any studio develop Scalebound.

Earlier this year Microsoft confirmed the cancellation of Scalebound which came as a surprise to a lot of gamers who were looking forward to the game.
