Veteran film, stage and television actress Reema Lagoo died following a cardiac arrest early on Thursday morning. She had to be rushed to Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai after she complained of chest pain in the night.

Lagoo, who is now seen on the STAR Plus show Naamkarann, was prolific on the small screen and is best remembered for playing the quarrelsome mother-in-law in Tu Tu Main Main. Before the last rites, actor Aamir Khan and his wife, besides filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, visited Reema's house. Vinay Patkar, Mohan Joshi, Raza Murad, Rakesh Bedi, Ramesh Bhatkar, Anang Desai, Ashoke Pandit, her co-stars from her TV show, Naamkarann, Shruti Ulfat, Viraf Patel and Kunwar Amar, were also present.
