Dana White shuts 'matchmaker' Luke Rockhold down: 'Stick to fighting and modeling'

The situation has left White and the UFC considering an interim middleweight title fight between No. 1 contender Yoel Romero and rising star Robert Whittaker.

"You got Rockhold right now screaming, 'I deserve this.' You just got knocked out in the first round, you don't deserve anything".

Rockhold didn't take kindly to White's words, particularly saying that he was misrepresented by the company president.

As aging fighters' muscles swelled unnaturally, point man Dana White flatly stated "we're regulated by the f-king government" every time the topic came up in his presence, often accompanied by rhetorical questions about the legitimacy of drug testing in stick-and-ball sports. Rockhold urged other fighters in the UFC middleweight division to send Dana White a message by taking the same stance. "I know that a lot of people are complaining about this potential delay with Georges, so we'll see what happens".

"You owe it to the fans, you owe it to that belt, you owe it to this company and you owe it to Johny Hendricks to give him that opportunity to fight again, unless you're going to retire". The Canadian also suspected that it was a tactic by the UFC president to put pressure on him to fight earlier.

Indians bullpen hangs on for win over Rays
The Tampa Bay outfielder now boasts a fearsome 171 wRC+ that has translated into one of his best starts to a big league season. The Cleveland Indians have dropped slumping slugger Edwin Encarnacion from the cleanup spot for the first time this season.

Like many in the MMA community, Rockhold was not pleased when it was announced that former welterweight king Georges St. Pierre would receive the next 185-pound title shot against Bisping in his first bout in almost four years.

Clearly these two remain at odds over the status of the middleweight division, although White has recently said that No. 1 contender Yoel Romero will get the next shot at the title after he scrapped plans for the fight with Bisping.

"It's a blessing in disguise because I can't fight anytime soon". St-Pierre said he wouldn't be ready to fight until after October.

White is also right inasmuch St-Pierre never lost the championship inside the octagon when he forfeited the title in December 2013 to go on a hiatus. I think they need title fights on the pay-per-views, which I understand.

It seems like a day can't pass without some update or another in the UFC's middleweight division and the latest arrived with the suggestion that we could be looking at an interim title fight this summer. He has since been cleared of any wrongdoing, and last fought at UFC 205 in November, picking up a stunning knockout victory over Weidman at Madison Square Garden.
