On the unofficial side of things, the Mi Max 2 is expected to be sold in 2 variants.

Xiaomi is now all set to launch its successor Mi Max 2. Chinese girl band SNH48 will also be at the launch, if you go by the poster.

If your memory serves you correctly, you will know that when Xiaomi previously announced its Mi Max, it featured a massive 6.4-inch display that gave it the advantage to sport a big battery capacity. The Xiaomi Mi Max 2, as many of you already know, is Xiaomi's upcoming phablet which had been leaking out for quite some time now, and thanks to those leaks we already have plenty of info when it comes to its design and specs, read on.

Now the official Mi Max 2 page is enabled on the company website waiting to show all device specifications.

Since the Mi Max 2 will be launched in China, it won't be released in India or other global markets all the while.

The Mi Max 2 is said to come with a Snapdragon 626 chipset, 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. Xiaomi ditched the 3.5mm headphone jack for its latest flagship, Xiaomi Mi 6 and the phone bundled without earphones. In addition, it is expected to have a 12 MP rear camera with Auto focus as well as a 5 MP front sensor.

In India, the Mi Max was launched at a starting price of Rs 14,999, and there was a Mi Max Prime version as well that cost more. It is also rumored to feature a 12MP camera with a Sony IMX378 sensor and a 5MP front-facing camera.

All these features and specifications of the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 would be confirmed soon enough as in less than a week the smartphone will be officially among us. On top of that both devices will run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat with MIUI 8 (or MIUI 9?). The rear camera will be capable of shooting videos at 4K (3840 x 2160) resolution.
