To say I was nervous about seeing Wonder Woman would be an understatement. She's full of compassion and love and warmth. The upcoming movie takes place during World War I.

Beginning gorgeously during Princess Diana's childhood in a lush, exotic Themyscira of sunshine-lit blues and greens that immediately sets Wonder Woman apart aesthetically from any comic book movie that's come before, Jenkins and screenwriter Allan Heinberg set the empowerment tone by not hitting the audience over the head with an all-female society of Amazons.

It's also a watershed moment in the genre. People were painting a portrait of the career that I could have as an indie NY filmmaker. To start, Gal Gadot is ideal as the titular character.

Directed by Patty Jenkins. We wanted to do her story that kind of justice so every day felt like we had that monkey on our back. "All in such a sweet way".

When asked about her footwear choice on the red carpet, comfort is exactly the reason Gadot gave, and good for her! "Wonder Woman symbolizes the magnificence of a woman and how wonderful women are".

The movie opens June 2 based on the DC Comics character. Justice League, you're up! Jenkins picked a very symbolic place for Wonder Woman's debut, and watching her run at top speed through No Man's Land, deflecting bullets easily, it's a damn near indescribable high.

All signs point to Wonder Woman being a huge success - both financially and critically. "We have to see that on screen", Pine laughed. They write, "Diana's hard-won insistence on battling for humanity (no matter how frequently they disappoint) adds the kind of gravitas and emotion that establishes it as the very best film the DCEU has made yet". Not to mention, Wonder Woman isn't at all convoluted or confusing - an issue that has plagued the DCEU - it's compelling, heart-pounding, and entirely feminist.

The #covfefe conundrum: Donald Trump does it again!
The tweet immediately went viral, with " covfefe " trending on Twitter, and became one of the president's more popular posts. AUGUSTA, Maine (AP) - President Donald Trump's mysterious tweeted typo covfefe is coming soon to a license plate near you.

Oh my God, everything.

Wonder Woman was created in 1941, yet this is her first solo feature film. But other than that, she is such a magnificent, talented, unique person. She knows more, she's more experienced, and she understands the complexities of the world.

As always, I didn't watch a single trailer leading up to the film. She's unbelievable. I feel like I'm the luckiest actress that I got to work with such a phenomenal director like her.

It's insane because when I work it's always really important for me to do the best job that I can. The dialogue in particular is so stodgy at times you wish the characters would stop speaking, the CGI is often overdone and plot twists are telegraphed. I genuinely can't tell.

I was very touched and grateful for the way people received me. "And that's great for her journey", she said. Here's hoping they look to the film's first three-quarters and the frontline action sequence if worldwide moviegoers embrace the film like it deserves.

Definitely, and I think for Patty as well. Jenkins wanted to bring her to the big screen for more than a decade, but studios doubted the appeal of the lasso-wielding superheroine.

[Laughs] I can't share much, but we had a lot of fun shooting it.
