"Dropped by the X-Mansion", reads Reynolds note (in Deadpool character-speak) accompanying the set photo.

The teaser picture was shared by the actor on Twitter and Instagram saw him pose against the iconic X-Men Mansion (Hatley Castle). This is our first look at Reynolds on set for Deadpool 2, and in true Deadpool fashion, Reynolds captioned the post with a nonsensical sentence about searching for Beast's "lawn bombs".

Ryan Reynolds leads a cast of newcomers that includes Zazie Beetz (Atlanta) as Domino, a luck-manipulating mutant, and Josh Brolin as Cable, the time-traveling son of the X-Men's Cyclops. Within the canon of the movie series, the mansion was originally built by Professor X's father for a much different reason; anxious by the threat of nuclear war, he built the house with a massive bunker underneath. When people talk about the lack of continuity in the X-Men film franchise, nearly no one ever brings up that the X-Mansion has been altered somewhat in just about every single movie in the franchise.

It's officially begun. Deadpool 2 has started production in Canada.

The Colwood landmark has been used as the location for the Xavier Institute in the X-Men films. Hopefully, Ryan Reynolds will continue posting behind the scenes photos on his social media accounts, and continue to get us hyped for the upcoming release of Deadpool 2. Cable has one of the most ridiculous origins in Marvel comics - and that is truly saying something.
