Ah, emoji. Who doesn't like these bits of art that are so great for expressing yourself when words just won't do the trick. You can see the full list - though not necessarily Apple's interpretation of them - on the Unicode website.

The Verge speculated the emojis would be made available for the anticipated iOS11 and MacOS High Sierra updates in the fall.

As for when the new feature will arrive for your favorite Apple devices, that still seems to be up in the air, as Apple didn't provide anything more specific than "later this year".

And in celebration of World Emoji Day, Apple has showed us what the new emoji look like and represent. This year the most used emoji on Twitter was the face with tears of joy with over 6.6 billion uses.

Not everyone was happy with the announcement however as many ginger-haired people continue to call for the introduction of an emoji for them.

The new emoji are technically a set of emoji that are launching as part of Unicode 10.0, the standard set for emoticons. There's even emoji for Vampire, Merperson, Elf, Genie, and Zombie.

Senate delays vote on health care bill
Two Republicans , Rand Paul of Kentucky and Susan Collins of ME , have already said they will vote against the measure. They said the revisions would also help Alaska and Montana - home to three GOP senators and one Democrat .
