Burglary at Heller's Las Vegas office investigated

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a threatening note sent to Senator Dean Heller (R-NV). The preliminary investigation by patrol officers determined that a burglary did not occur to the main building or to Senator Heller's office. A source told LasVegasNow that a threatening note was also left inside the office, however, authorities refused to confirm that.

Police declined to release the contents of the letter found Sunday morning near the door of Heller's office.

"We can not comment on an ongoing investigation", a spokesperson told CNN, directing all questions to the police department.

Heller is considered a key swing vote in the ongoing Republican effort to repeal Obamacare.

Heller has recently been the subject of pressure to support the Senate GOP's new health care bill and in the hot seat over his wavering support of the legislation. "I can not support a bill that takes insurance away from tens of millions of Americans", he said at a press conference recently with Nevada Gov. Brian Sandoval.
