Honda is Recalling more than a million of the sedan Accord

It is the tenth generation Accord, which now comes with two-motor hybrid technology.

The 2018 Accord is lower and wider than its predecessor, and it boasts a longer wheelbase.

It's therefore a pretty big deal when such a successful model undergoes a major restyle, and Honda has probably gone a little further with its recently unveiled 2018 Accord than some commentators may have expected. These engines are backed with a 10-speed automatic and available 6-speed manual.

In addition to the above-mentioned improvements and new features, the 2018 Accord will also come with an infotainment system that users can upgrade via Wi-Fi.

One of the new engine is a 1.5L 16V unit with dual VTC packs 192 hp and 185 lb-ft torque. The 2.0 litre engine will replace the existing 3.5litre V6 engine that produces about 278 HP and 252 lb. -ft of torque.

This isn't just a cosmetic exercise though, as this tenth-generation model is all-new from the ground up and employs a lighter and more rigid body structure, an advanced new chassis, a pair of new high-torque direct-injected and turbocharged engines, and a 10-speed automatic transmission that's a first for a front-drive vehicle.

The sedan comes with outfitted with auto connectivity features, driver-assistance and safety features.

Although the new motor does provide better performance than the previous motors, Accord fans might find themselves missing the V-6.

The safety systems will include Collision Mitigation Braking System, Lane Departure Warning, Road Departure Mitigation, Adaptive Cruise Control, and Blind Sport Monitoring with Cross Traffic and Driver Awareness Monitors.

After several years of making the Accord in Japan, Honda said it will move production of the 2018 Accord back to its Marysville, Ohio, plant.

Japanese automaker Honda is Recalling more than a million Accord sedans because of the risk of spontaneous combustion.
