Whether Arun gets the India job, and in what capacities Zaheer and Dravid's services will be utilised will be decided on Tuesday by a four-member BCCI panel comprising acting president CK Khanna, CEO Rahul Johri and acting secretary Amitabh Chadhuary and COA member Diana Edulji. Interestingly, amidst this prevailing suspense and confusion over the appointment of Team India's support staff, came a release from the India Cements Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) that Arun will coach the VB Thiruvallur Veerans - one of the teams of the Twenty20 tournament - in the upcoming edition, which will be held from July 22 to August 20.

Arun was India's bowling coach from 2014 to 2016 and formed a strong partnership with Shastri when he was the team director.

In a clear snub to the Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC), newly appointed India coach Ravi Shastri seems to have managed to convince the Supreme Court-appointed Committee of Advisors (CoA) to take Bharat Arun on board as bowling coach.

Talking about the same, Vinod Rai, CoA head was quoted saying, "We will further discuss with Shastri the appointment of other coaches".

If his appointment is finalised, Arun's first assignment during his second stint as India bowling coach will be the tour of Sri Lanka which begins on July 26.

Also on Tuesday, they will visit a museum in Gdansk commemorating the Solidarity movement which shook communist rule in the 1980s. It was also pointed out that the duke and the duchess hoped to meet "as many people as possible" during this visit.

However, when Sehwag mentioned that he would be bringing his support staff, Kohli expressed reservations. Arun told the Times of India, when asked if he had landed the job of the India bowling coach.

From the very beginning of the selection process, it is well known that skipper Virat Kohli is backing Shastri in every moment, the same is happening now and Shastri is picking the supporting staff as per his convenience with the support of Kohli.

However, Shastri is ready to work with Zaheer when the requirement arises. "Not yet. As of now, I've to carry on normally, isn't it?" I think it would have been a wonderful job and I congratulate Ravi Shastri on getting that job.

Perhaps, the fact that Shastri had an inclusive approach considering the captain and the support staff, is what made him CAC's favourite.

When interviewed by TOI on the ongoing speculation regarding him being signed by BCCI as the bowling coach, the 54-year-old said, "Not yet".
