A man in Florida miraculously survived a weird accident during which his van was completely crushed by scrap metal.

A man miraculously survived after a large piece of scrap metal fell from a truck that lost control and overturned in Florida on Saturday, crushing his van under the overpass.

A trucker carrying scrap metal lost control, sending pieces of debris flying on to the road below. Escobar, a father of three, was exiting the interstate at the time.

Redskins QB Kirk Cousins likely to play under franchise tag
Within the transition tag is a player option to sign a one-year deal for a 20 percent raise with his original team. He signed a two-year, $12-million deal this spring after spending the bulk of his eight-year career as a backup.

That pipe, several feet long, fell onto the minivan on the ramp below, smashing the windshield, roof, driver's door, and passenger door behind Escobar. Meanwhile, a 2003 Pontiac van driven by Jesus Armando Escobar, 36, of Orlando was westbound on the exit ramp from I-4 to eastboung S.R. 528. If he had been sitting in any other seat, he would have likely been killed, officials say. "That's a one in a million shot", Olson said.

The truck driver, 33-year-old Antonio Santiago Wharton, also sustained minor injuries.
