Texas Longhorns junior linebacker Malik Jefferson's name has been added to yet another preseason watch list. A panel of college football experts selects players for the Paul Hornung Award Honor Roll based on performance each week during the season.

A fifth MI football player has landed on a preseason watch list.

This marks the second time Pierson-El has been named to the Hornung Award Watch List after also being on the preseason list before the 2015 season.

The award is presented annually to the nation's best linebacker by the Butkus Foundation. The victor and his family will be honored at the annual Paul Hornung Award Banquet presented by KentuckyOne Health, to be held at the Galt House Hotel in downtown Louisville on March 8, 2018.

Pugh, who played primarily as a pass-rusher from FSU's "BUCK" position finished the year with 43 tackles, including six for loss and 4.5 sacks. He was a second-team Football Writers Association of America honoree, becoming the first Husker freshman to make the FWAA All-America team. He was named Big 12 Defensive Freshman of the Year, in addition to earning honorable mention All-Big 12 honors, after compiling 61 tackles, seven TFL and 2.5 sacks.

Okoronkwo added 12 tackles for loss. The award was first presented in 1985.
