Stunning New BLADE RUNNER 2049 Trailer Released

Warner Bros. Pictures have just released the brand new Blade Runner 2049 trailer! K's discovery leads him on a quest to find Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), a former LAPD blade runner who has been missing for 30 years. This movie marks the third time in which Ford has returned to a character after several years, the other two being Star Wars and Indiana Jones.

"What happened?" responds Gosling, before being told, "We were being hunted!" Check out the new trailer below, and let us know if October 6 can round that bend quickly enough.

Denis Villeneuve (Arrival) steps behind the camera for the upcoming sequel, which is based on a script from the original film's Hampton Fancher and Murder on the Orient Express' Michael Green.

Needless to say, anticipation is running high for Villeneuve's film. According to one of the cast members, though, Blade Runner 2049 will be even better than Scott's original touchstone work. There's a cavalcade of riches this summer, with new offerings from both DC and Marvel, new (and in some cases, final) installments in long-running franchises, and a couple newcomers testing the waters for future sequels. More to the point: why is Blade Runner 2049?

Thirty years after the first Blade Runner, the Los Angeles of 2049-or at least parts of it-looks hollowed out and haunted.
