Everton are still holding out for a deal in the region of £50 million, a figure vindicated by Spurs selling Kyle Walker to Manchester City for £54m this week.

According to reports, Tottenham are set to step up their interest in signing Ross Barkley from Everton as the Toffees are now prepared to reach a compromise.

Everton are unlikely to come down on their asking price despite the fact Barkley is keen on a move to London.
