Woman dead in Melbourne hotel, men quizzed

A woman's dead body was found in the shower of a buck's party's apartment in Melbourne, but the men say they were "stitched up".

Two of the men attending the buck's party said they initially thought they were being "stitched up".

It's believed the woman, aged in her 20s, returned to the hotel room with the men on Saturday night.

Police have been running forensic tests and an autopsy was done overnight to find out what happened to and identify the woman found in the Oaks on Market serviced apartments on Sunday morning.

They would not say who the deceased woman was or how they met her. Another witness told the paper she saw one of the men being led from the building in handcuffs by Police but was not resisting.

Police say the exact circumstances surrounding her death are unknown and the four men are now being interviewed.

Victoria Police said homicide squad detectives are treating the woman's death as suspicious.

Detectives continue their investigation.
