A Chinese website - MyDrivers leaked about the Xiaomi's plan for the new brand that is going to target the Offline market to take on Vivo and Oppo. Under the hood, the device will pack in Snapdragon 625 processor. Recently, an image of a mysterious Xiaomi smartphone has leaked online, and this report suggests the device in the picture is Xiaomi 5X.

Off late, we have been hearing a lot about Xiaomi's upcoming sub-brand, which is rumored to be called Lanmi. According to this leak that was just posted earlier today, the device will feature a display that comes in at roughly 5.5 inches, and will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, as well as 4GB of RAM. The speculated launch is dated as July 26 but there is no official confirmation from company's side till now. The 1999 yuan price tag shown in the poster is apparently for the high-end variant, which does seem to make sense.

Coming to the pricing details, the Mi 5X is expected to cost around CNY 1,999 (US$295 approx.).

Xiaomi is yet to officially confirm the handset while the leaked poster is alleged to be promotional material.

Smartphone manufacturers need a strong traditional retail presence even in this digital age of total e-commerce domination, and to prove its commitment for further growth with surging sales in physical stores across Asia, Xiaomi has an offline-only product series in the works.

The phone consists of the 12-megapixel camera on the rear and has a 5-megapixel camera on the front and is supported by a massive 5,300Mah battery.
