Despite being relegated from the Premier League last season, Hull's 23-year-old left-back Andy Robertson has warranted a move elsewhere following his impressive performances throughout the 33 appearances he made for Hull last term.

The Scotland worldwide has been given permission to leave Hull's preseason training camp in Portugal to finalise his switch to Anfield.

It is said that Reds' boss Jurgen Klopp considers the Hull defender as a priority signing this summer in order to bolster his backline.

The Scotland global will compete for a first team spot at Liverpool with James Milner and Alberto Moreno, and adds valuable depth in a position of need.

Macron and Trump mark France's Bastille Day
The American president noted that Bastille Day marks one year since a terrorist killed 86 people celebrating the holiday in Nice. Trump's knuckles in a show of power he said was deliberate to underline how he wouldn't be intimidated in their talks.

Per James Pearce at the Liverpool Echo, the arrival of Robertson could spell the end for Moreno, who could be allowed to leave Anfield after three years at the club. And there are rumours that Robertson has left Hull's training base in Portugal to complete the move.

Robertson, meanwhile, will help strengthen a Liverpool defence which conceded the most goals out of the Premier League's top four last season.

Provided that the Scottish global does arrive, he would become Liverpool's third summer signing after the arrivals of Dominic Solanke and Mohamed Salah, while there is still arguably plenty left to be done by Liverpool this summer as they look to significantly strengthen the squad to add quality and depth in all departments.
