Sheeran appeared as a Lannister soldier in the season premiere of the HBO fantasy drama.

Ed Sheeran's Game Of Thrones cameo appearance on Monday garnered mixed reactions on social media.

In the opening sequence of "Dragonstone", Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) proved herself to be the biggest badass in all the land. "He sings 'Save the Last Dance for Me" with new lyrics, and he kind of bullies those notes", Jean says.

Though some people were super stoked to see Ed Sheeran on Game of Thrones, some were not.

The St Louis Cardinals (4-0 over the Pittsburgh Pirates) and Texas Rangers (1-0 over the Kansas City Royals) had shut-out wins. But then Masahiro Tanaka was outdueled by Price, by the same final score, to complete a long and draining few days at Fenway.

On Instagram, however, Sheeran seems to be in "good spirits" as he shared a photo with girlfriend Cherry Seaborn climbing the mountains in Peru.

Another also showed a GIF of his face the moment he realized that the guy who sounded like Ed Sheeran was actually THE Ed Sheeran. I've never heard it before.

When producers found out about Sheeran's Simpsons love, they approached him about the role. "Watch out for this one, me and Lisa have a whole thing going on".

He'll play a musician named Brendan for a musical-themed episode in season 29, titled Haw-Haw Land, and it sounds as if there might be a love triangle developing between Brendan, Lisa Simpson and bully Nelson Muntz. Ed's episode will air sometime in late fall.
