Girl, 12, dies after boat passes over her on Newfound Lake

Newfound Lake in New Hampshire where a A 12-year-old girl was killed in a water skiing incident Monday morning, according to Bridgewater police.

New Hampshire Marine Patrol officials said the girl, whose identity has not been released, was water skiing about 8:30 a.m. when she fell.

The girl has been identified as Zoe Anderson, a resident of Highland Ranch, Colorado.

Her father, Sherwood Anderson, was driving the boat and he turned around to go pick up his daughter.

Some of those storms may be strong to severe, producing small hail, gusty wind and frequent lightning. West northwest wind 10 to 15 miles per hour becoming light northwest after midnight.

Police say he briefly became distracted when his hat blew off his head.

The boat hit Zoe and caused serious injuries.

In addition to her father, her mother and 14-year-old sister were also on the boat. She was assisted from the water and immediately transported to shore by her family.
