Javelin Thrower Motaghian Wins Silver at World Para Athletics Championships

Ireland's IPC World Athletics champion and Paralympic gold medallist Jason Smyth successfully defended his title after storming to the finish line in a time of 10,63 seconds.

Moroccan athlete Youssef Benibrahim ran the T13 5000m race in 14 minutes 21.69 second sat the World Para Athletics on Sunday, breaking the world record and winning a gold medal. Earlier in the tournament Indian javelin thrower won gold. Lone Indian representative in the event, Amit Kumar finished in fifth place.

On the fourth day of World Para Athletics Championships at Olympic Stadium of London, Hashemieh Motaghian competed in threw the javelin in F56 Class for 20 meters and 66 centimeters to claim the silver medal and improve her personal best by 14 centimeters.
