A Good Samaritan then ran into the road and grabbed the youngster, while two other men wrestled Hickcox to the ground.

Tracy Willner happened to be passing by on her way home at the time and saw a man, believed to be Hickox, throw the child. "And for a little while he stopped crying", said Tracy Willner.

According to an arrest report, Hickox called the baby "the devil" before throwing him into traffic.

She said she told her husband to "slow down" because "he's about to throw something". At first, she thought he had thrown a bag or a dog, reported KKTV.

Christopher Willner, 42, was driving on South Academy Boulevard when he saw something being thrown into the road and slammed on his brakes.

"When the baby stood up, I was like, 'Oh my God, it's a kid'".

Voting for presidential election ends in MP
RJD's Obra MLA Birendra Kumar Sinha, away in Dehradun on a personal visit, cast his vote in the Uttarakhand assembly. It was Leader of Opposition Ajay Singh who turned up first to cast the vote for President's election.

Two other witnesses helped Willner's husband chase the man down.

"I covered him up, and had him just right here".

The 30-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted first-degree murder and attempted child abuse resulting in death, both felonies, court records show.

"He took off running, so my husband jumped out of the vehicle and chased the guy up by the tattoo place with the other two guys and pinned him until the police showed up", she said. A child was injured during the incident. Police took the suspect, later identified as Hickcox, into custody.

Hickox was detained in El Paso County jail under a $50,000 bond.
