Man United preparing final £60m offer for Dier

Former Queens Park Rangers and West Ham United winger Trevor Sinclair suggested on BBC Sport's Facebook live (July 14, 2017) that Eric Dier would progress if he makes the switch from Tottenham Hotspur to Manchester United in the summer transfer window.

Manchester United are thought to be on the lookout for a holding midfielder this summer and Dier has been touted as a target for the Red Devils.

However, SunSport have been told Mourinho has no chance of landing Eric Dier as there will be no more departures from North London.

Having already sold Kyle Walker for £50m to Manchester City, Mauricio Pochettino, and chairman Daniel Levy, aren't prepared to lose another defensive player without finding a replacement.

Clashes between worshippers, Israeli police outside Jerusalem's al-Aqsa mosque
Although the mosque reopened on Sunday, Netanyahu ordered the installation of metal detectors at two of the mosque's entrances. On Monday, the mosque's compound was seen empty with only tourists roaming the premises.

Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic is specifically mentioned as an alternative, but Mourinho has had his troubles with that deal too after United beat his old club to Lukaku, and so adding this final marquee piece is proving to be more hard than first thought.

As for Dier, he is said to be keen on a move to Manchester despite signing a new five-year deal at Spurs worth around £70,000-a-week last September.

Meanwhile United play the second gaame on thier pre-season tour of the U.S. when they face MLS franchise Real Salt Lake City at the Rio Tinto stadium in Utah Tuesday morning (UK time).
