Spotify for Xbox One will be available today

The app will be available to users as early as today, Spotify is launching its app on the Xbox One across 34 markets around the world.

Users will also have the option to browse the pre-curated gaming playlists in the "Gaming" hub.

While it may have taken years to get to this point, Spotify is finally catering to both audiences - a decision that might've been made possible by the addition of the background music feature Microsoft added in August of last year. Users in some regions are reporting that they are unable to download it just yet but it's only a matter of time before the app goes live in their regions as well. Soon you'll be able to swap the score for your Spotify playlist.

You can use Spotify Connect to control the music from your mobile device.
