Ben Affleck: 'Justice League' Is 'Interesting Product of Two Directors'

While it is not uncommon for big-budget movies to undergo several weeks of reshoots, those for the DC superhero team-up Justice League have been notable for a number of reasons.

The two-director situation is unusual, but shouldn't have fans too anxious, Affleck said, diplomatically calling Justice League "an interesting product of two directors". Now star Ben Affleck has spoken out to Entertainment Weekly about Joss Whedon's Justice League involvement in the wake of director Zack Snyder departing after a family tragedy. For the film, the best person that we could find was Joss Whedon. "We got really lucky that he stepped in".

The actor also addressed some of the reshoot rumors that seemed to hint at problems with Justice League, pointing out that all movies go through reshoots.

Seth Macy is IGN's weekend web producer and just wants to be your friend. It's an interesting product of two directors, both with kind of unique visions, both with really strong takes. On Argo, it was returned to the scenes for a week and a half. Four days on Gone Baby Gone!

USA stocks close lower, snapping Dow's 10-day winning streak
In bond markets, 10-year US Treasuries and Germany's ultra-safe government bonds were trading at their highest prices since June. As a result, the yield on the benchmark ten-year note, which moves opposite of its price, is down by 1.5 basis points at 2.226%.

"This is a really nice time to work in DC", he continues. But Affleck believes the Snyder/Whedon mash-up will work. They're hitting their stride. "They beckon, they are doing things correctly, and it starts to give really the impression that it's going to work". But with this summer's Wonder Woman striking a chord with fans and crushing at the box office, the DCEU is on much more solid footing heading into Justice League.

Justice League holds a 4.19 out of 5 on ComicBook.com's anticipation rankings.

In Justice League, fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman's selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes-Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash-it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions. As the DCEU attempts to move away from the grim and gritty aesthetic of Snyder's Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice, and closer to the earnest, optimistic worldview of Patty Jenkins' Wonder Woman, bringing in Whedon to lighten Justice League's tone made a tremendous amount of sense.
