It is understood she is aware of the "gravity of the charges she is facing", her lawyers said.

The Daily Telegraph reports the former Australian Idol contestant, 34, could face a maximum jail sentence of seven years if found guilty of the charges.

Curuenavuli is now in Brisbane playing the role of Rachel Marron in The Bodyguard Musical, a character made famous by Whitney Houston who starred alongside Kevin Costner in the hit 1990's film.

Police allege they have CCTV footage of Ms Curuenavuli, known as Paulini, walking into the RMS office in Mount Druitt during July a year ago.

'The Bodyguard has only just learned of the allegations this morning, ' the statement read.

According to reports, RMS employee Faletausala Feesili Vaifale, of Emerton, pleaded guilty to three charges previous year.

Paulini is best known for her time on Australian Idol in 2003, placing fourth in the first season of the reality TV show.
