Last week, the UN Security Council unanimously adopted Resolution 2371, which further tightens sanctions against North Korea in response to Pyongyang's recent ballistic missiles tests, Sputnik reported.

In my view, the current USA -led sanctions and implied threats of war against North Korea have no realistic chance of bringing a peaceful resolution to the increasingly risky crisis between the United States and North Korea - a crisis which portends a huge humanitarian catastrophe for millions of Koreans and perhaps the whole world.

Tensions between Pyongyang and Washington have been escalating due to North Korea's tests of nuclear and inter-continental ballistic missile. Russia, however, said that the missiles were intermediate range.

Donald Trump has called on the United Kingdom to help him track down Kim Jong-un's nuclear bases in North Korea. North Korean leader Kim Jong Un wants world recognition for his regime and the US needs to stop backing him into a corner.
