Game of Thrones S07E04: Fans turn on Bronn after dragon attack

Game of Thrones fans can be a fickle bunch but this character has been popular since his first appearance.

During the Loot Train Battle, Bronn makes a dash for Qyburn's special Scorpion weapon, equipped with crossbow bolts meant to fatally wound a rampaging dragon. "My postman won't speak to me because I shot the dragon", he told Time magazine. It was a stunning and fantastic scene (this behind-the-scenes video tells you how they did it), which culminated in Bronn (played by Jerome Flynn) shooting Drogon down with huge arrow shot out of a cannon-type contraption.

His arguably unforgivable sin: He shot down one of Dany's dragons. A couple of fan favourite characters did manage to survive however, with Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) and Bronn (Jerome Flynn) left in the river close to the fight.

"I spent weeks on that sequence, but I was on the edge of my seat, the adrenaline was running - they really nailed it", Flynn said of watching the battle go down.

"I've gotten emails saying 'Best episode ever!' and it's really gratifying".

At least 35 people had been treated for injuries, ranging from life-threatening to minor, Thomas said. Police arrived on campus, declared it an unlawful assembly, and ordered the crowds to disperse.

"Or people say "I love her" and I kind of worry more for them". "It was all part of the sequence and training".

In fact, the actor said he did actually get to shoot the crossbow-dragon-killer thing. "The armourers on this show are just geniuses, and they try to make everything as authentic as possible".

According to Flynn, some fans have been peeved with him because Bronn managed to strike Drogon in the shoulder with the huge scorpio. "It's probably the coolest weapon I'm going to get to play with", he said.

His mailman's reaction is totally understandable. As she did that, Jaime saw an opening to attack the Mother of Dragons but just as he approached, Drogon turned his head around and shot out a breath of fire just as Bronn tackled Jaime into the nearby body of water.

The words "so far" seem to imply that Jaime will be back again for more action in Game of Thrones after it looked like it could be curtains for the character.
