Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Sunday announced 15-member squad for the ODI and T-20 series against Sri Lanka.

Yuvraj Singh and wicketkeepers Dinesh Karthik and Rishabh Pant have been omitted from India's squad for the limited-overs leg of the Sri Lanka tour.

Spin duo Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin, and pacers Mohammed Shami and Umesh Yadav were rested keeping the side's tight schedule in mind.

The situation remained tense on Saturday along the basins of major rivers like Saptakoshi, Kankai, Babai, Rapti and Mohana. Nepal Police, Nepali Army and APF personnel are now performing rescue works in the state.

Middle-order batsman Manish Pandey makes a comeback into the side after being dropped from the West Indies series along with Jasprit Bumrah, who was rested for the Caribbean trip. However, he led India A to victory in a tri-series which involved hosts South Africa A and Afghanistan A. The fifth ODI will be played on Sept 3 in Colombo. The Mumbai batsman has been named as the vice-captain of the squad. The 27-year-old was last in the Indian setup in January for the home ODI and T20I series with England. Rohit Sharma and Yuzvendra Chahal also got a call-up for the series starting from August 20. The only T20I will be played on September 6.

Rahul, Manish Pandey, Ajinkya Rahane, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Kedar Jadhav, Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel, Yuzvendra Chahal, Shardul Thakur, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Kuldeep Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah. Of the 150 they have played, 83 went in favour of India while in Sri Lanka, they are marginally behind the hosts, winning 23 of the 57 matches played.
