A new app could make sure your children never "forget" to answer your texts again. With ReplyASAP, he says, he can choose to send an important message that can't be ignored.

'I thought this would make getting hold of him easier, but it doesn't at all.

"I realize teenagers aren't going to be massively keen but it is just supposed to be a fail-safe", developer Nick Herbert said in the Economic Times.

To fix this problem, Herbert created the app which takes over the phone's screen and rings an alarm until the message is opened and acknowledged.

While most settings and apps can't freeze a phone like ReplyASAP does, our experts in the Good Housekeeping Institute pointed out that Ignore No More is an iOS app that allows you to remotely lock your child's device if they are not responding to you.

"It will alleviate the stress when I can't get hold of him as I will know that he has seen my message", he said.

That solution? A new smartphone app called ReplyASAP. Some of these programs require you to "jailbreak" your phone, which can void any warranties or insurance you may have.

The app is free to download and now only available on Android, but users will have to pay a subscription to use the service where it will range depending on how many users that they plan to use it with.

The app is now available to Android users, with a version for iPhone coming soon.
