The objective is to collect "mass" and this can be done by either finding it peacefully or - you guessed it - shooting and killing opponents. Atomega is being created by the developers of the 2015 hit Grow Home and its 2016 sequel Grow Up. Mass will serve more than one goal, both earning players points to "determine the ultimate victor of the round", while it will also "allow you to change up your strategy on the fly".

Set at the very ends of time, all that exists are a small group of Exoforms, small beings that have become balls of light, mastering matter and energy as they've evolved through the countless years. "As the laws of physics slowly repeal, the Exoforms fight for fun and dominance, replaying the final moments of the universe in an arena atthe edge of destruction". Meanwhile, check out the announcement trailer below. As you take damage, you'll lose mass and damage-dealing capabilities - and mass is equal to score in this game.

It isn't that often - outside of cases like Telltale's games - that a game is announced right before it is released, but that's the case with a new title that was just revealed by Ubisoft today.

In its post, Ubisoft described the style of Atomega by adding, "The dynamic competitive action will be suffused with the lighthearted tone characteristic of the Reflections team".
