Kentucky woman kidnapped, assaulted; her 5-year-old son found dead

Durham was taken to UK Hospital in Lexington where she suffered from serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The search continued during daylight hours all weekend and resumed Monday morning when the boy's body was found about sixth-tenths of a mile from where his mother was found off Sparks Ridge Road.

Jackson County authorities say they're looking for 5 year old James Spoonamore. Police arrested the 41-year-old Lonnie Belt, he has been charged with multiple charges including kidnapping, with assault and tampering with evidence.

Kentucky State Police Commissioner Rick Sanders said he did not know how the boy died.

The boy, James Spoonamore, had been missing for three days in Kentucky's Jackson County, WHAS reported. Durham and Belt were not strangers, they are acquaintances, they were not having an affair.

Police offered few details of what happened.

They no longer wanted, or needed, the money that they would get from selling him to Liverpool for about £55m. Following the global break, Southampton lost 2-0 at home to Watford as they sit 13th in the league.

An arrest citation says Belt and Durham got into an argument about money. She explained how she last saw her son, James, with their kidnapper as she was allegedly forced over the cliff by Belt. Sanders said two hikers discovered Durham Saturday morning at the bottom of an 80-foot embankment.

Sanders declined to answer questions about what happened.

A team of 200 first responders and volunteers set off on a massive search to find the boy. Riders on horseback, helicopters, and K-9 units joined the search efforts.

Durham and her family are in deep shock after the incident.

"Honestly, it's been hell".

Durham's mother, Cynthia Wallace said, "He was so happy, he loved school and he even wanted to go on the weekends". "I just went through a hurricane and all of this here on top of me, I'm just hurt".
