Whatsapp May Offer "Delete for Everyone" Feature in Coming Weeks

Although there's no official information about the release date of the Whatsapp delete for everyone Feature soon, it's going to be available for the general users on both Android & iOS. It is reported that the new functionality is working fine on the servers.

"WhatsApp has added in beta the possibility to edit messages that you already sent". WhatsApp rivals including Telegram, WeChat and Viber already sport a similar feature, and it is high time that the leading IM service had it too.

"The server finally works and it successfully recalls the message". The feature is claimed to utilise a separate server that will pull back or delete the unseen messages.

Also according to a screenshot tweeted by WABetaInfo, deleted messages will also disappear from the Notification Center on both Android and iOS. In some apps, the feature allows user to revoke messages that are yet to be seen by the recipients.

Regardless of how long it takes to roll out, however, the ability to recall messages will be incredibly useful for those prone to mistakingly sending out messages to the wrong people.

With over 1.2 billion monthly active users, WhatsApp is available in more than 50 different languages around the world and in 10 Indian languages. It had recently announced the "WhatsApp for Business" feature and also launched a new status feature.
