Target recalls Room Essentials 4-drawer dressers due to serious hazard

The recall was announced Wednesday, Sept. 13, and Target is offering a refund to any affected customers.

The recalled dressers are unstable if they are not anchored to the wall, according to the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission.

The retailer just recalled 175,000 four-drawer dressers from their popular Room Essentials line. "The dressers measure 41-7/8" tall by 31-½" wide by 15-11/16" deep.

Made in Denmark, the units were sold at Target stores nationwide and at www.target.com from January 2013 through April 2016 for about $118. The model number 249-05-0103 (black), 249-05-0106 (espresso) or 249-0500109 (maple) is printed on the product's packaging.

Bungie also recently confirmed that Nightfall and Raid Guided Games will go live on September 26th, at around 6pm BST. In-game, the recommended level for the Raid is 270.

Even though there have been no injuries reported, the company has received 12 reports of dressers tipping or collapsing, including an incident where one fell on two three-year-old children.

Any dresser not properly anchored to the wall should be placed in an area not accessible to children.

Consumers who purchased the recalled dressers are eligible for a refund.
