Arsenal's Danny Welbeck out at least three weeks with groin injury

ARSENAL fear crocked striker Danny Welbeck will be sidelined for a month.

Welbeck reportedly injured his groin in the scoreless draw against Chelsea, per Matt Law of the Telegraph.

Wenger confirmed after the match that he did not know the severity of the issue but did not believe it to be particularly bad.

The news means Welbeck will miss the next four club games - including Wednesday's Carabao Cup clash against Doncaster - and England's forthcoming double header against Slovenia and Lithuania.

But he is nearly certainly out of England's final two World Cup qualifiers against Slovenia and Lithuania early next month.

United States ambassador: North Korea will be 'destroyed'
Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said he was waiting for the North to express interest in "constructive, productive talks". North Korea said on Saturday it aimed to reach an "equilibrium" of military force with the United States.

"Mesut is training again, but for tomorrow no [he will not feature]. We don't know how bad his groin injury is but he will certainly be out until the global break", Wenger was quoted as saying by his club's official site.

Among other absentees for the Doncaster game are Mesut Ozil, Francis Coquelin and Mathieu Debuchy. "He has a little inflammation of his knee". In his first game back, he scored the victor against eventual Premier League champions Leicester City just minutes after coming on.

The Gunners are set to take on their League one opponents in a League Cup clash at the Emirates tomorrow evening, with a number of fringe players expected to be given a run-out by Arsene Wenger.

Alli is facing the threat of being banned for his middle= finger salute against Slovakia and that could have handed an opportunity to Welbeck, who scored as a substitute in the victory over Malta. The likes of Reiss Nelson, Jeff Reine Adelaide, Chuba Akpom and Matt Macey will also hope to be involved.
