The Border Security Force (BSF) said that it shot two Pakistani infiltrators dead along the Punjab border on Tuesday night. The force recovered 4 kg heroin, AK 47 rifle, AK Mag, 23 rounds (7.62 mm), 9mm Pistol, Pistol mag, 9mm rounds (4), Pak mobile with SIM, Rs 20,000 Pakistan currency from the infiltrators, according to news agency ANI.

The night passed off peacefully, the BSF spokesman said today adding the troops guarding the border were still on a high alert. "Border Security Force (BSF) troops were effectively retaliated", said an official.

The area has been cordoned off and a search operation is underway to smoke out any remaining holed up terrorists.
