Narendra Modi bigger actor than me, says actor Prakash Raj

Popular actor Prakash Raj has launched a blistering attack against Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his silence on the murder of journalist Gauri Lankesh while calling the latter a better actor than him.

He compared PM Modi to an 'actor trying to please his followers'.

Speaking at the 11th annual convention of left-affiliated students' group Democratic Youth Federation of India on Monday, the actor said, "Who killed my dear friend Gauri is not as important to me today as who has been celebrating her death".

Further, Raj also said that a bunch of extremists who celebrated the murder on social media by releasing sickening statements on Twitter are followed by the PM. "We have a Prime Minister who has turned a blind eye towards the kind of people he follows on social media and the venom they spew", he said.

The actor said that UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was playing a dual role.

Cowboys plan to stand for national anthem on Sunday vs Rams
The protests were magnified last week after Trump said at an Alabama rally that each anthem protester is a "son of a b***t". TheCNN survey released Friday showed Americans sharply divided over NFL players taking a knee during the national anthem.

After this, some of the media outlets claimed that actor Prakash Raj will be protesting against the issue with giving back his national award.

He also said that he doesn't want to keep the 5 National Awards given to him by the government. Give me some respect. "As an actor, I can differentiate between acting and truth", he added.

Taking a dig at UP's Chief Minister's dressing style, he said, "I saw a video, I couldn't tell if he was Uttar Pradesh chief minister or a temple priest". We all know who they are, what their ideology is. "I am not such a fool to give back National awards, which has been given to me for my body of work which I am very proud of", he said.

"You can't make me believe by making promises of good days". See, I'm a bigger actor than you people (Modi government) and I can tell when you are acting. When ignorant people vote in exams called elections, obviously, only bad people will come to power. We are talking about the unexpected sensational news break of Prakash Raj.

Earlier in September, senior journalist Lankesh, a well-known critic of the right wing forces, was shot dead at her house in Bengaluru.
