Google Pixel 2, Pixel 2 XL Leak Rundown Before Launch Event

Tomorrow's big Google event will likely see the launch of new Pixel smartphones, new takes on Google Home, a powerful new laptop and, apparently, something called Google Clips.

The listing was taken down very quickly after it was spotted, but people had read and saved all the major details about the Google Home Mini as well as the Pixel XL 2. The company's FCC filing for the Google Home Mini surfaced online recently, suggesting that the company might announce this device soon. The retailer's diminutive smart speaker-dedicated webpage is obviously wiped clean now, but it was up long enough for a bunch of official images to flood the internet. The Pixel 2, or as we like to call it here at Ausdroid, the lesser Pixel 2, will have the same display ratio as previous year and bezels that are either the same or slightly bigger. However, unlike the predecessor, Google has followed a new design scheme for the Pixel 2 XL with slimmer bezel-less design, QHD screen with tougher Gorilla Glass 5, better cameras, and more.

With Google Assistant being a key feature of the Android smartphones, especially the upcoming Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL as well as the current Pixel series, it makes sense for Google to expand this. Also, these new phones could also feature squeezable sides like the HTC U11 for launching Google Assistant and other apps.

Samsung's Windows Mixed Reality headset will cost $499
A company spokesperson appeared, in virtual reality , at Microsoft's special Mixed Reality event in San Francisco this morning. This is quite a different beast than Samsung's Gear VR , which is powered by Oculus and requires a Galaxy smartphone.

The Pixel 2 XL in this image is in the "panda" color scheme as you can see. The Pixelbook will come with 128GB, 256GB and 512GB storage variants, according to reports. There's no information available as yet about the device's release.

Google has a plethora of hardware product research and developments going on, and this year's special media event is the tech giant's massive chance to issue an updates on progress since the I/O in June 2017.

What are you most looking forward to on Pixel Day?
