As part of a bombshell report in The New York Times, Judd went on the record that 20 years ago, Weinstein invited her to the Peninsula Beverly Hills hotel for what Judd thought would be a professional breakfast meeting. Once there, he allegedly asked if he could give her a massage or if she would watch him shower.

There's no word from Weinstein on how long he plans on taking a leave of absence at this time.

According to the Times, Weinstein's allegedly inappropriate behavior goes back almost three decades and he has reached private settlements with at least eight women. The statement, which blamed his behavior on the culture of his youth, then pivoted to attacks against President Trump and the National Rifle Association.

In a Jay Z lyric-quoting statement released to the newspaper, Weinstein claims that he didn't know better and is now seeking counseling.

I have since learned it's not an excuse, in the office — or out of it.

"Women have been talking about Harvey amongst ourselves for a long time, and it's simply beyond time to have the conversation publicly", Judd told the Times. "It sends a message about who we are as a society, what we'll overlook, who we'll ignore, who matters and who doesn't".

According to the Times, the producer is "working with therapists and planning to take a leave of absence to 'deal with this issue head on'".

Requests for comment from The Weinstein Co. and Judd were not immediately returned.

"While I would not represent Mr. Weinstein, I would consider representing anyone who accused Mr. Weinstein of sexual harassment, even if it meant that my daughter was the opposing counsel", said Allred.
