Mulvaney: Trump Tweets Allude to Military Action

In an interview on the Trinity Broadcasting Network on Saturday evening, U.S. President Donald Trump claimed that North Korea's nuclear weapons program should have been taken care of 25 years ago, blaming his predecessors for mishandling the issue.

Yesterday Saturday 10/07/17, Trump tweeted that the Korean leader is "making fools" of our negotiators and that over 25 years with North Korean agreement are failing and that they have and are being violated.

Mr. Trump did not make clear what that one thing was, but it was enough to grab the attention of the Korean leader.

"For nearly 30 years, through numerous administrations, if you look at President Clinton, paid billions of dollars, gave them billions more", Trump said on the Trinity Broadcasting Network's "Huckabee". "Last month, in response to Trump's "Rocket Man" insult", Kim Jong-un referred to the president as a "dotard", while also calling him "mentally deranged", while threatening a return attack if he continued with his worlds.

The past several weeks covering Mr. Trumps remarks pertaining to North Korea, its NOT ruled out that military action could be used. Asked for clarification then on what he meant, Trump said: "You'll find out". "Just a total mess".

"I think what the president's clearly telegraphing, and this should not be news to anybody, is that military options are on the table with North Korea".

Last week, he described the current period as the "calm before the storm", without elaborating. Although Kim made the comments Saturday they were reported hours after Trump's "only one thing will work" tweet. "They even gave us mathematical calculations that they believe prove that their missile can hit the west coast of the United States", Anton Morozov, a lawmaker in Russia's lower house said on Friday.

Tensions have run high in the wake of North Korea's repeated ballistic missile launches and sixth nuclear test in September.
