Patriots QB Tom Brady Expected To Play Through Shoulder Injury

When the news broke that New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady had missed practice on Tuesday, obvious concern began to spread about his status for the game this coming Sunday.

The quarterback reportedly is dealing with a sprained AC joint in his non-throwing shoulder suffered in Week 4 against the Panthers and then further injured last Thursday night against the Buccaneers. "Yeah, I'll be there Sunday, don't worry about that", Brady said.

Brady has undergone tests for the injury but is expected play in the team's Week 6 game against the Jets in NY on Sunday, sources told ESPN's Mike Reiss.

"We'll put an injury report out after practice like we always do, " Belichick said when asked if Brady would be at Wednesday's midday practice.

The Jets, Patriots, and Buffalo Bills all sit atop the AFC East with 3-2 records.

Through the first five games of the season, Brady has been hit repeatedly.

Aside from fielding questions about his health, Brady also raved about the season wide receiver Danny Amendola is having. It's only Tuesday and giving a 40-year-old quarterback a day off doesn't seem like the worst idea. He's already been sacked 16 times after a 15-sack season in 2016.
