How to Watch Cubs vs. Nationals

The Nationals are facing the Chicago Cubs after winning a shut-out on Wednesday night bringing the series back home to Washington D.C. Whoever wins will face the Dodgers to battle for the spot as the National League team in the World Series.

The day began with a bit of a curveball, with manager Dusty Baker announcing that Nationals ace Stephen Strasburg would start the game, despite saying earlier that Tanner Roark would start. Roark's hardly terrible, and there are a ton of scenarios in which the Nats win Wednesday even without Strasburg working, then still have Strasburg lined up for Game 5 on Thursday back in DC. Right-hander Kyle Hendricks will start for Chicago.

But later, Nationals officials clarified that Baker misspoke and that Strasburg actually threw his bullpen Monday ahead of Game 3, the Washington Post reported.

Hamas says reached deal with Palestinian rival Fatah
Hamas seized Gaza from Fatah in a near civil war in 2007 and the two factions have been at loggerheads ever since. Ismail Haniyeh, leader of Hamas , said that a deal had been struck after two days of talks brokered by Egypt.

This year, Hendricks helped the Cubs win Game 1 of the NLDS, allowing only two hits while striking out six batters in seven innings of action. The right-hander had 42 career relief appearances, including two in the 2014 postseason, when he allowed a run on three hits in 2 2/3 innings against the Giants.

By going with Gonzalez, the Nationals could force Cubs Manager Joe Maddon to make hard decisions. Does Maddon make wholesale changes and deplete his bench to have more left-handed hitters? Whether is matters, time will tell.
