Ozil, Sanchez could leave in January - Wenger

The stalemate leaves Arsenal facing the possibility of their two star players departing for free and Wenger conceded selling mid-season is one solution.

When asked if their was a deadline to agreeing a contract extension, Wenger said via Sky Sports: "No, not at the moment".

"It is my understanding [that he wants to stay]", he added.

'I always said the fact that we didn't find an agreement a year ago doesn't mean the player will necessarily leave.

"Both players looked happy here and overall I hope the situation can be turned around". Chile's loss on Wednesday meant they failed to qualify for next year's World Cup.

Arsene Wenger has cast doubt over whether Alexis Sanchez will be involved for their Premier League clash against Watford this weekend, after the Chile worldwide received "special treatment" on global duty.

"Mentally, I will have to assess the situation when he comes back tomorrow (Friday)".

Starsport can reveal Rose has set his heart on leaving Tottenham for Old Trafford ahead of the World Cup in Russian Federation . The likes of Ashley Young, Matteo Darmian, Marcos Rojo and Daley Blind have all filled in at left-back.

"I believe he and Ramsey are winners and will want to focus on winning things".

Another possible departure from Arsenal in January is Jack Wilshere, after reports indicated he was considering leaving the club in order to force his way into England's World Cup squad.

Meanwhile, defender Shkodran Mustafi will be sidelined for up to six weeks with a hamstring injury.

Wenger then praised Jack Wishere who is knocking on the first-team door after spending last season on loan at Bournemouth.

"I will have to speak to him".

He could not guide his country to World Cup qualification, and Wenger admits he does not know the effect it will have on the player.

"If he keeps going like he is gong on he will go the World Cup. I will always appreciate him and I will always wish him the best wherever he goes".
