Flight 666 Flies to HEL on Friday the 13th

Most recently, it sent Flight 666 from CPH to HEL on Friday, Jan. 13, 2017.

The flight has been making the trip from Copenhagen to Helsinki regularly, and since there's a Friday the 13th two to three times in a year, the flight number, airport code and date have matched up 21 times over 11 years, Finnair said.

The flight started 11 years ago and has fallen on Friday the 13th 21 times with no reported ill effects. According to the delighted Helsinki Airport, that's 13 doubled.

That didn't stop one passenger booked on Friday's HEL-bound trip, who somewhat unluckily was given a seat on the 13th row, from missing the flight.

Google making video calling easier
That being said for the video calls to go through you will still be required to have the Google Duo app even if you never open it. With the new initiative, Android phone users will now be able to make video calls directly from were their call or message.

Juha-Pekka Kidasto, pilot of the flight on September 13 2013, told the Associated Press at the time flying the 666 flight does not bother staff. "I'm not a superstitious man".

Finnair told another British publication, The Independent, that the change was not due to a concern that superstitious passengers would avoid the flight, but that the growing airline needed to reorganise flight numbers. The flight number will not, however, be 666. "It's only a coincidence for me".

Since its first flight 11 years ago, the flight has inspired many social media jests and has been widely covered by worldwide media.
