TEXAS: John Burt's 90-yard reception the second quarter was the sixth-longest in school history and the longest that did not result in a touchdown. They gained a school- record 747 yards against Baylor last week, but produced a relatively low 428 at Texas.

Oklahoma State tied the game when sophomore kicker Matt Ammendola connected on a 19-yard field goal early in the fourth, but Texas was glad to give up just three, as the Cowboys had it first and goal at the one but couldn't find the end zone against the Longhorns' stingy defense on three straight plays.

Though the Cowboys are technically still in the playoff race, they haven't looked like such a squad against a team of effect in more than a month.

Texas (3-4, 2-2) had a first down on the Oklahoma State 12 after a pass interference penalty against A.J. Green. James Washington had four catches for 32 yards and Justice Hill rushed for 117 yards without a score for the Cowboys offense. Ehlinger floated away a ball to a spot in the end zone with no receiver in the area, and Ramon Richards secured the interception to seal a 13-10 victory for Oklahoma State.

United States home resales post unexpected rise in September
Next Wednesday, the Commerce Department is scheduled to release a separate report on new home sales in the month of September. However, the overall housing sector has been slowing as the number of properties available has not kept up with demand.

There were some mistakes, but Gundy and Co. emerged from their conference road trip with a win. The Longhorns had chances down the stretch to win it, but the Cowboys came up with key stops time and again.

INJURY REPORT: In addition to playing without some offensive linemen, the Cowboys were without starting linebacker Kenneth Edison-McGruder, who missed the game with an injury. Two are injured, including All-American Connor Williams, who only played in the first three games. The Cowboys head to Morgantown, West Virginia to take on the West Virginia Mountaineers.

It's been a tough debut season for Tom Herman with the Texas Longhorns, and another last-second loss on Saturday isn't going to make things any better. Amendola made up for it with a 34-yard field goal in overtime.
