The 20-year-old has grown in confidence and England boss Southgate has rewarded him by promoting him from the U21s to the senior squad for the upcoming friendly matches against Brazil and Germany.

The England manager wants to look at Joe Gomez, who has mainly played right back for Liverpool this season.

Smalling was an unused substitute in England's victories over Slovenia and Lithuania last month, as the team qualified for the 2018 World Cup in Russian Federation, but the Manchester United centre-back was not named on Thursday afternoon.

On 32-year-old Young's recall, Southgate said: "Generally speaking we want to look at younger players, and develop the team, but I've always said if a more senior player is playing well and warrants the call-up, we should include them".

Houston Astros outfielder Cameron Maybin stole a base at the top of the 11th winning during Game 2 on October 25th. Taco Bell is giving away free Doritos Locos tacos Wednesday afternoon in a cross-promotion with the World Series.

And his performances have finally earned him his first England call up in five years.

Southgate is apparently using this squad to give a few younger English players a chance.

The Manchester United man has been included in Gareth Southgate's 25-man team despite not playing for his country in September 2013.

This time Southgate has chose to include Winks from the start, fitness permitting, as England prepare for Germany's visit to Wembley on 10 November, followed by the game against Brazil four days later. A back-three is ideal for him, he's quick, athletic and can use the ball.
