The feature is rolling out to Search - and soon to Maps as well, will show you the wait times at almost a million sit-down restaurants around the world.

The new feature expands on Google showing consumers looking to change their oil and get their hair cut how busy local businesses typically are. Google predicts it will be able to offer these wait times for nearly a million restaurants worldwide when the update is completed.

Wait times are calculated based on "anonymized historical data" pulled from Google users who have opted into Google's (somewhat creepy) smartphone location history program.

Google says the feature is hitting Search first, then will arrive on Maps not long after that. The information will be added to the Google Maps app in the near future.

Salenger shared photos from their engagement on Instagram, touting herself as "the luckiest happiest girl in the universe". The insider added that Oswalt broke glass at the end of the ceremony, and the guests shouted "Mazel Tov".

If you're planning a few days ahead you can swipe left or right to see estimated wait times for every day that the restaurant is open.

Google says this feature will be rolled out to almost a million sit-down restaurants around the world.

In order to see the new estimated wait times, you'll simply tap on the hour bars in the Popular Times section, as can be seen in the image above. The instant insight into wait times is part of a growing trend since Yelp and Nowait partnered earlier this year to deliver similar information.
