It was reported by PWInsider that Owens and Zayn were sent home following Tuesday's Smackdown taping in Manchester, England and that it was confirmed by multiple sources.

According to sources, Owens and Zayn were supposed to "feed" for New Day following the Sami Zayn versus Kofi Kingston match, but ended up leaving the ring and ignored that direction.

After Zayn faced Kofi Kingston, Owens entered the ring and the pair attacked Kingston, then left the ring before the comeback. How the SmackDown house shows will be affected by Owens and Zayn's absence remains to be seen.

Trump went to his room alone and Schiller said he lingered outside Trump's hotel room for a while and then went to bed. After accompanying Trump to the room, Schiller said he waited outside for a few minutes and then left, CNN reports.

Owens and Zayn are real life best friends, and came up in the wrestling business together. Triple H filled in for Reigns at Raw's first five stops, Kurt Angle teamed with Seth Rollins & Dean Ambrose yesterday, and New Day were moved to the Raw side for their remaining dates after this week's TV. Even more, by the sudden exit of KO and Zayn, their offense was egregious enough for WWE to get them on the next plane back to the United States. The two could be brought back to WWE TV on Smackdown next week, but their statuses with the company are now up in the air.

The decision was apparently sanctioned by Vince McMahon himself, taken as a outcome of the pair supposedly "going into business for themselves" during their on-air segments. There was also a mention of "men of honor" and some fans believed that was a reference to Ring of Honor but that was not the case. There were reportedly no issues related to Owens and Sami being mad about putting The New Day over.
