Carrie Underwood is on the mend after breaking her wrist and suffering other injuries from a "hard fall" outside her house.

The singer's rep added that the American Idol winner's husband, former National Hockey League player Mike Fisher, 37, "was able to make it back into town that night to be with her and she was released from the hospital".

And now Carrie Underwood is currently recuperating after being hospitalized for a broken wrist after a fall on the steps outside her home.

The American Idol alum has since been released from the hospital, but her rep said the injury would "take some time" to heal.

Country music star Carrie Underwood thanked fans Sunday as she recovered at her home in Nashville from a fall that prevented her from performing at a benefit that night.

"I've seen her perform countless times but this one may be my favorite all time", Fisher wrote.

Due to her injuries, Underwood was forced to cancel her performance at the Country Rising benefit concert tonight in Nashville, according to the Tennessean.

Underwood co-hosted the CMA Awards alongside Brad Paisley in Nashville on Wednesday night. Underwood said she's grateful for her compassionate husband. Our music lifts people up and that's what we're here to do tonight.

"This show is dedicated to all those we lost", Paisley added.
